Donations for the band will be accepted; food and wine for purchase. More info on these excellent bands here: http://www.kendramckinley.com/ https://erininglish.com/ Insightful songwriting, lush harmony singing, and fearless picking, this act features the award-winning songwriting of California banjo chanteuse Erin Inglish (expressive, sassy, dynamic banjo; lush and raw power-house vocals) galvanized by the soaring harmonies, tenacious solos and gritty rhythmic drive of her "Blues-grass" band. Luminous musicianship and rhythmic groove, Erin Inglish Band presents a high-energy, entertaining, positively-charged act - steeped with harmonies and instrumental prowess on the banjo accompanied by percussion, guitar, bass, and a rotating collective of guest minstrels. (https://erininglish.com/) Kendra McKinley perceives a song like a painter views a blank canvas: an opportunity to expand an audience’s mind, to wash their thoughts in brilliant hues of blue and violet, scarlet reds and effusive orange. Inspired by the past but not chained to it, McKinley’s music spans the diverse spectrum of pop music. She echoes the intricate vocal arrangements crafted by Brian Wilson, fractures the narrow definitions of a genre like St. Vincent, and recognizes storytelling as the key aspect of a great tune the way the best singer-songwriters have for generations. Dear Friends,
For the past year, we have have fostered a partnership with SLO Natural Foods, an existing food co-op in San Luis Obispo--visit them if you haven't! We are pleased to announce that they are interested in supporting us with time, expertise and substantial funding to our store, since they see many benefits of joint purchasing, advertising, and generally increasing co-op awareness. However, before they can fully commit, we have to do our part and show them that the North County community can support a co-op grocery store. So, We Need Your Help! We have a goal of reaching 50 new member-owners by Jan. 31st, 2017. If we can reach that goal on time, it will show SLO Natural Foods that we mean business. Please join us today: full member-ownership costs $300, and right now includes a 1 year membership to SLO Natural Foods ($35 value), so you can get a sense of how a real, live co-op works. If you’re not sure yet, consider making a $50 pledge now, and fulfilling your membership once we reach 200 members/pledges. We also offer payment plans. As a community effort, we really depend on word of mouth and personal relationships to spread the word. Please talk to your friends about us, refer them to our website, and let them know that we are happy to meet in person to answer questions (my contact info is below). We also have hard copy posters and postcards available if you know of any locations that could post them. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or ideas!
