The Local Bites event series provides fun, community gatherings for existing members to reconnect and for potential new members to find out what the co-op is about. Hosted by a local business, the event celebrates local food and drink producers, healthy eating, and lifestyles of the Central Coast. Ultimately, the event supports the co-op’s mission to create and embrace abundance, balance, and diversity through investment in the local food system. Through this holiday season we want to highlight LOCAL food producers and vendors. November we will place an emphasis on food producers and in December we will focus on vendors of gifts. Home and Gourmet Expo Paso Robles Event Center 2198 Riverside Ave, Paso Robles, CA 93446  The Tibetan Monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery are coming once again to the Central Coast for their Scared Art Tour. Please join the Paso Food Co-op on Saturday, August 26, at 9 am., for their Daily Mindfulness Walk at the Park Gazebo. We will walk with the monks back to Earthtones Gifts, Gallery & Center for Healing where they will be creating the Medicine Buddha Mandala. We will have the opportunity to speak about the value and mission of the Co-op and hopefully to have the Co-op blessed by the monks.
