What is a “Local Bites” event? A Paso Food Co-op “Local Bites” is a foodie pop-up event designed to recruit new member-owners to the Paso Robles Food Cooperative (PRFC) while simultaneously promoting local food, beverages, services and products. The event provides a fun, community gathering for existing members to reconnect and for potential new members to find out what the co-op is about. Hosted at local businesses, the event celebrates healthy eating and the fine fare available on the Central Coast.
Both PRFC and Host Site Work Together To: Set event date - a maximum of a two-hour time-slot providing time for setup (.5 hr), event (1 hr) and cleanup (.5 hr)
PRFC Responsibilities
Marketing of the event and host business:
Digital publicity for your business to our 900+ newsletter subscribers and a boosted post to 1000+ Facebook followers
Create and submit a press release for the event
Work with the host site to setup and cleanup the event on the day-of
Provide a 5-10 minute presentation during the event
Host Site’s Responsibilities
Join or be an existing member of the Paso Robles Food Cooperative
Make their venue available for the event (2 hrs max w/ setup & cleanup)
Provide a photo and a brief description of your business for our marketing
Serve bite-sized samples of a food and/or drink (ideally relating to your business)
Post an event poster/postcards in your place of business
Provide a 5-10 minute presentation during the event discussing their business and how the co-op could mutually support it
